Our Story

Sweetmeat Bakehouse is more than just a bakery, it’s a celebration of family, heritage, and handcrafted sweetness. The name “sweetmeat” is an old-world term meaning sugar delicacy, and “bakehouse” represents the space where care and craft come together to create something truly special.
Baking runs in my blood. My grandmother was a home baker, filling her kitchen with warmth and joy as she frosted cakes with gentle swirls that were never perfectly smooth, but always full of heart. My grandfather worked in the dessert craft industry, wearing his crisp white shirt, blue jeans, apron, and hairnet, a reminder of the discipline and pride of a true artisan. That blend of love, craft, and dedication inspires every cake I make today.
Our Rustic Style:
I focus on taste, texture, shape, and feel when crafting cakes. My signature rustic style blends purposefully cratered buttercream , soft neutral tones, and earthy palettes. I love using fresh or dried florals; adding a feminine and natural touch that feels cozy and elegant at the same time.
Each cake is a little piece of art, designed to capture warmth, intimacy, and timeless beauty. Whether it’s a wedding, birthday, anniversary, or special gathering, my goal is to make cakes that are moist, flavorful, and layered with personality.
Your Experience:
Every cake starts with a conversation. I listen to your ideas and inspirations, then I translate them into a rustic chic design that’s uniquely yours. You can choose a simple cake, or one adorned with delicate florals, textures, and a touch of feminine elegance. My promise is that your cake will feel as warm, inviting, and unforgettable as home itself.
